Osmanthus Goji Berries Gelatin Dessert

Osmanthus Goji Berries Gelatin Dessert

Yield: 24 2" x 2" pieces

Ingredients: 

  • 10 grams Osmanthus (Available to purchase here on Mama Wangs Pantry!)
  • 40 grams goji berries
  • 160 grams rock sugar/granulate sugar/Monk fruit sweetener
  • 2 liters water
  • 20 grams agar agar strips or 18 grams agar agar powder
One 10.5 X 7.5 X 2 in. tray

    Instructions:

    1. Pre-measure all ingredients and set aside
    2. Soak goji berries in a bowl, set aside
    3. In a pot, bring 2 liters of water to boil then turn heat off.
    4. Add Osmanthus to the pot, cover and steep for 5 minutes.
    5. Remove the cover. With high heat bring Osmanthus liquid to boil. Add agar agar and sugar.
    6. Stir the mixture on medium heat until agar agar and sugar are dissolved completely.
    7. Drain goji berries and add to the pot. Stir occasionally and skim the foams off the liquid as needed.
    8. Continue cooking with medium heat for 5 minutes or until goji berries are soften.
    9. Turn heat off and pour the liquid mixture into the 10.5 X 7.5 X 2 in. tray.
    10. chill in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
    11. Slice and serve.
